The Man is signed up for Knotholl T-ball. Ordered him a medium shirt cause the small looked way too tight. I know The Man is small himself, but with my luck, I'd order the small and he'd take a growth spurt on me.

I wish I could sign her up too but she has to be 5. She LOOKS 5, but that doesn't count.

So she can play T-ball next year.

I will hear by the end of March from a coach about try-outs, then practice starts May 1. Then games all summer.

I'm excited!

I remember when *I* played Knothole softball. It was great fun. Wish I'd continued through to fast pitch.

So many "If I could go back and do over I'd do this XXX." in my life. I just have to go on and encourage my own NOT to repeat my mistakes because they only live once.

Now I get to live vicariously through my children. LOL

And isn't it a WONDERFUL thing! Growing up, my father wouldn't let us kids do ANYTHING, so until my mother and father got divorced we didn't get to do much. And even then, we still didn't get to do everything we wanted to do, because we were always broke.
I try very hard now to let my kids do whatever they want to do (within monetary reason, of course). Colleen is still a little to young to do much, but Kaylee takes dance lessons, and plays softball, because that's wat she wants to do. She is also starting to ask about GirlScouts... I'm not real sure about that one. I want them to get to do all the stuff I wanted to do, but wasn't allowed or couldn't.. then I get to relive the experience too!!
And besides, sometimes you get to get away with doing really silly stuff, that if you didn't have your kids with you, you'd probably be institutionalized!!

I was in Brownies. I was good in track in elementary school. I played knothole softball but didn't go on into fast pitch like I could have.

I look back and go - Dammit! Why didn't I continue on with those things????

I won't push my children, but if they are really good and they really like it, then I will encourage them all I can.

I'd like to see CJM in Boy Scouts and BBK in Brownies, etc. Only if THEY want to do it though.

I enjoy the silly stuff. Makes me feel young again. Not that I'm THAT old mind you, just sometimes I get to feeling that way. lol

Kinda like telling the story of Little Red Riding Hood to his class this past Thursday. I felt younger and felt connected to the kids. Of course the ones who heard the story before felt compelled to assist me in the telling. :-D

If princess turns out to be talented in sports - wohoo, if not - wohoo.
Right now she seems to be having fun in dance class and we will keep it sort of low key.

Of course I would prefer her to be more interested in music, dance, gymnastics than regular sports. Then we all know how talented I am with sports.

Re: G0 C GO C
I saw Danita Wallace Saturday night - remember the beautiful red-headed ballerina?

We spoke. She's teaching at Wright State and is married and is also teaching over here at the dance studio around the corner from my house.

If only I could get BBK into tumbling or something. I don't even know where to look for that. We all know how GRACEful the child is.
