I am SO in a mood

And I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown which only a very extreme few people actually GET this fact, yet can do nothing to help me out except listen to me ramble, so having said that, here's my bitchy poll...

Poll #291853 What Would You Do? (WWYD)

You have a free evening as you get out of class early, you

A) Go home & spend time with SO (who is stressed to the max and in great need of cuddles)
B) Go to the movies with other couples, without SO, and ignore your SO
C) Go hang out with a friend or friends, without SO, and ignore your SO
D) Use the time to study and do your homework - Which your SO would totally understand even as stressed as the SO is
E) Just go home and go to bed

A free early evening?
I see.
Then let me offer you a cautionary tale:

Once upon a time ago, there was a college student who worked at Goodwill. After work he went out with some friends from work to a bw3. He had a beer and burger. One of the work friend was a teenager that was drinking beer. After a while the teen got drunk and the college student instead of proceeding home(or calling this teens parents) decided to be the good guy and drive the kid home to hamilton.

While not knowing Hamilton very well at all and listening to the bad directions of a drunk teenager - went down a one way street the wrong way - right past a hamilton cop. The hamilton police pulled him over, smelled his dinner and gave him a breath test. Could not tell from the results, so off to the clink they went. Teen parents were called, College student was arrested and had to call home. CS parents weren't home only sisters were. They didn't have enough money to bail him out - so they had to call the parents . . in columbus at a conference.

Dad bailed him out . BIG TROUBLE ensued. Tells girlfriend day later what happened. Girlffriend is stunned at such stupidity - because her parents were out of town too and he could have come over and spent the night. Told the college student that since he was too dense to understand the importance of a relationship over a teenage loser then he did not deserve such a good thing.

Moral: Don't take home any more problems than what you already have, that is of course unless you want to handle more.

Re: A free early evening?
Your tale has left me scratching my head. I would think that a story about pissing off an SO who is already so stressed as to be able to remove the head of a charging bull at will, with a corresponding moral, would be more appropriate.

Your poll is skewed, y'know, towards the first answer.

I mean, as an ex-researcher-guy, I have to say your writing style is a confounding variable.

I suppose - but isn't that how it was supposed to be?

For my first poll, its pretty lame and sad at the same time.

I would think that my mood of "pissed off" and the first sentences before the poll though would give things away.

What's worse is to find out that the thing was done to "correct" a "behavior" the person didn't like. It was done in a petty, vendictive manner, out of spite, anger and pain at a supposedly intentional slight.

To do something so demeaning and selfish - is that unforgiveable?

Mmm, I'd not continue to date someone I felt was being petty. On the other hand, I'd also evaluate my own behavior to ensure, y'know, that I'm not being unreasonable. (I personally have no knowledge that suggests one way or the other here.)

I wouldn't say vindictive, petty acts are unforgivable, just unforgettable. I forgive easily and forget never.

Anyway, I was just trying to throw something light-hearted out there, since I was randomly browsing polls and you seemed in need of maybe a little joke.

Two nuns are riding their bicycles to church and have to take a shortcut to get there on time. The first nun says, "I've never come this way before!"

The second nun replies, "It's probably because of the cobblestones!"

:) - with the craziness in my life right now light-hearted subtilty (I can't spell that word, hope you know what I mean) goes right over my head. WOOSH

Thank you for the joke, its an oldie but goodie. I do appreciate it very much.

I wondered how you found me. I did check out your LJ friends list and I recognize a couple of names - not to say that I know these people but because they are on a friends list of a couple of people on my friends list.

Yep. I'm just a random visitor.

My LJ friends list is big, so I'd guess anyone's bound to know someone. It's really difficult to be this popular. :p

Thanks, I really need more than that - like a stiff drink and a shoulder to cry on - but I will take the hugs and be thankful for them.

If I were there I would give you hugs, drinks and a big shoulder to cry on -- I swear :) I'll send them to you virtually darling!
