For Future Reference For Interested Parties

I have recently learned about head lice that may or may not be going around in a group.

Insomuch as to keep myself out of it as possible I will only speak to offer the following information for future reference as I think it might help as it was given to me WAY before I ever had kids:

There IS a treatment out there that kills head lice that is NOT a pesticide.

It is called Hair Clear 1-2-3. You can only find it in health food stores. Some do not carry it so I would suggest if you plan on obtaining it you contact a few stores to see who has it before going out.

The general cost for 4 treatments is around $25 - $30. Yes, this is expensive, yes the bottle is small - but think of the positive benefits.

The main one, the ONLY one IMO - is that it is not a pesticide.

The ingrediants are simple, it smells like black licorice, and if you find it necessary to treat a child's head again prior to the suggested second treatment time, then it is safe.

Trust me, I have first hand knowledge that it works.

Applying a pesticide too many times to a child could cause some serious health problems.

I would sooner put a pesticide on my own head than allow one to be put on my children's.

That is my only say on the matter.

Thank you for coming, have a nice day. If you like us then please refer your friends to us. Again, thank you for coming.

The end.

I have found this out through beauticians, and personal experience, coconut based shampoos will deter the little critters. For whatever reason, they do not like coconut. I found this out when my daughters kindergarten class had an outbreak, and she never got it. So it does work... or else we were really lucky.
Hope this helps too!
(We like Suave Coconut Shampoo! =))

There is . . .
Coconut oil in Hair Clear 123

Its ingrediants are that, Anise Oil (for the licorice smell), Ylang Ylang oil and Isoprophyl Alcohol.

Re: There is . . .
I'm gonna stick half a coconut on my head then, maybe I'll start a new fashion trend.
