Wedding Plans

We have finally solidified our decision on the wedding plans. Of course some things changed because we were up in the air and some people will not be in attendance that we would have liked to have come, but c'est la vie.

We will be getting married on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 12:30 p.m. at Christ Pres. in BFE where my future MIL is the new minister.

Invite is probably going to be by word of mouth as we have not settled on invitations and an exact guest list.

Instead of a honking huge party afterwards as we were originally planning, we have decided on a small luncheon at the church directly after the ceremony.

We are being as budget minded as we possibly can.

Besides, we want to have $$$ to spend on our honeymoon. And we want to come back and go out and party with the originally planned wedding party. Though that may not directly happen as soon as we return, but I think they are okay with this. At least the sounds of things they are.

In the end, the only thing I will NOT budge on is a honeymoon. It is a NECESSITY, not a WANT.

*stomps foot*

I have spoken!!!

So that's it and that's that. And we are very happy with this decision.

A small ceremony, a small luncheon, a big honeymoon. What more could a girl ask for?

I am sorry that I can not be there. Take lots of pics for me. Party later is good with me.

The Great Oz!

And the Cowardly Lion had better never forget that!

We will let you know when the other party is to commence!

Oh! Also, I was thinking - I would like to give Sterling Heart giftbaskets to those womean who are not the owner/operator/creator of Sterling Heart. IE - Mom, MIL, SIL, GMIL, that rotten Dita (we know who she is!), and if sorcha999 is still in it, her too.

As for the elusive owner/operator/creator of Sterling Heart - I will have to figure something else out.

I want to be the Scare Crow. He and I are both clumsy.

Get in line sista! You are there with Dita and the Booda Baby.

Ask Dita about her stairs episode. I could not stop laughing, in fact, I was practically crying, and hyperventilating. I love her but my GAWD is she clumsy. She deserves an award!

She knows it too. In fact, just thinking about the stairs episode, I'm about to burst out laughing right now.

Then the Boo - yee gawds that child can trip over air. I just wish that her favorite thing to stop her fall was NOT her face.

Evidence her trip to Urgent Care for 6 stitches to her forehead and the current bruise she has on the other side matching that scar at the moment.

I love the idea of honeymoons. I keep trying to convince da boy that we need to elope and then hide out in the UK for several weeks but he always turns me down. Something about his family castrating him and there being no need for a honeymoon after that.

So, I'm going to be bold and bouncy. Where are you heading off too?

All points bulletin!
Well, the inlaws are supposed to be setting it up for us as it is a wedding present to us. I don't know what the status is.

But, its either south or south and west - I will know soon enough.

And a moment to touch on one tiny thing and then it will go *poof* in the wind - my post about to all interested parties - that was me as a slightly more experienced parental unit offering a tidbit of wisdom that I had picked up and have used. Nothing more than that and certainly not me getting into anything BEYOND that.

I felt this was probably the best forum to post it in rather than an email that could have come across very badly because I'm not good at writing all that often and it would have been very odd for me to email that. You'd have been like WTF is she doing getting into that?!?

Ok - Poof - its gone. :-)

Keep me posted - or your "readers" - whoever they may be - on the wedding stuff, etc., on your end.

All the best.

I'll poff it it a moment.

You offered a helpful suggestion, one I will have in mind the next time something like this happens.

I don't mind helpful suggestions or advice. You were being concerned and I appreciate it.

This may sound strange but it works... especially if you're doing the meal at the church. I have one word to say...

You'd be surprised how well it words for so many reasons.

Just my .02 but I'll bring the Chocolate dessert... <smiles> Well, I would if you knew who I was and I was invited but that's another story altogether.

Wow. I've picked up a reader that I don't know or at least recognize!

I checked out your info/bio/LJ and read that you hang at the Warehouse but I don't recognize you at all.

Sorry, I'm just not that big of a clubber to know everyone there anyway - just my small little world is all.

Chocolate! NUMmmmmmm - always welcome with me. I LOVE chocolate. :-D

And yes, potluck it is - pea salad, sammiches, chips & dip, speciality meatballs (I make em), and whatever else the MIL or mother or anyone else wants to toss in will be great.

There will also be cake - how can there not be? Its a wedding! There must ALWAYS be cake.

Re: Hey!
Actually, I don't believe we've met. I read you through gracemontgomery's journal... We're dating.

So I guess I'll have to ask her if I've met you ;)

Re: Hey!
Gracie's dating? YAY Gracie!

I've been out of the loop. Maybe someday bigstan and I will make it back to Warehouse.

Likely bigstan will make it sooner than I will though.

Re: Hey!
Yeppers, the Gracie-Lady is dating. I haven't seen you or the Stanmonster in ages and ages. I am at Warehouse most Fridays, so no doubt I'll see you there at some point.
Lemme know if you are still in search of fabulous hairstyles for the wedding. Sarah (my roomie Sarah, that is) has been researching hairstyles for herself and we found a really neat site that has tons and tons of funky hair do pics.

here's a link: http://www.hair-styles.org

Thanks for the site. I will check it out more when I have time to paruse at length. Pun intended.

However, now that my hair is at the middle of my back, I'm getting pretty disgusted with it. I want to cut it. I think about six inches off of the length will do.

I don't care what I do to it in the morning - a Lion's Mane is a Lion's Mane and that is what I have on the top of my head. Doesn't help that I'm a Leo either.

It frizzes (despite frizz control), it flys away (despite mouse/hairspray/goop/etc.), it either tightly curls or it flops depending on ITS mood.

Don't you just hate hair with a mind of its own?

bigstan is freaking out at the prospect of me cutting it but he has no say in the matter. Muwahahahaha.

Besides, shorter hair makes for curlier hair. And won't that look pretty in a tiara?

What more could you want?
I know the answer to that . . .

It is something for BigStan!

I know I'm rotten, but you luv me.

Re: What more could you want?
You are TOTALLY rotten.

Yes, I DO luv you for it too!

Besides, I completely encourage it, egg it on, push it, and all that fanzy jazz. I wouldn't have it any other way.
