Count Down to Push

Well, I had wanted to get up there tonight to set up camp, however, I have kiddling drop off with daddies and if I left straight from there it would be about 11 p.m. before I got there to unload.

So bright and sharp at 8:00 a.m. I am heading up with my mom to PUSH for Pensic. I'm so excited as its my first PUSH.

PS is the Autocrat and she has things set up for my mom and I to camp close to her and her Pet.

I'm also excited because we will be camping. It may only be for one night, but I haven't camped since I was 21 and I'm really looking forward to it.

Pennsic Wars
Nope. Won't be there. I have an annal retentive boss as it is.

I had my one week of vacation this year and that was when I got married.

He has very real hissy fits (humphing and hawing and "polite" coughing) around the office if I have to leave a half hour early for a dr's appointment.

He has even bigger ones if I have to be off sick or with a sick child.

My husband's grandmother died this past Thursday and instead of an immediate service, she was cremated and then there will be a memorial service for her on August 13. I told him I would not be in for that and the tantrum he threw was outrageous.

So do you think with a boss like that I would stand even a chance of getting to Pennsic Wars?

*shakes head*

Part of why I'm looking for another job.

I am terribly sorry to hear about the death in the family. Everyone holding up ok?
Well I was hoping you might make it anyway!

perdita_saxon and I call him a D.I.C.K. = dude I could kick.

Drives me nuts!!!

I've been working for him for THREE years and I have just now gotten a decent pay raise and 10 days of vacation/sick time. No other benefits though. None, zip, zero. I pay for myself and that is expensive.

I hope that we DO meet soon!

As for the death - Everyone is holding up from what I can tell. His parents left the day after for a seminar (they are ministers) that they had planned prior to this.

I think its hit his step-grandfather the most. He really loved her a lot.

I only met her once. She was a tiny, fraile woman with not much of a memory at all left. She recognized my husband at the time we visited, but I can't say for how long.

*hugs* back to you!
