A Great Icon

Has passed on. Granted he lived to be 100 years old, but he really made me laugh.

As a child I always looked forward to the Bob Hope Specials. I don't think my grandparents ever missed one that was televised.

I have enjoyed his movie career as well. If it's a Bob Hope movie, I want to watch it!

Not many have been on as of late, but as soon as I realize that one of those black and white's has Hope in it, I'm staying on that channel.

I'm a avid channel surfer as my husband will tell you. There are only a few shows that will stop me in my channel tracks.

Hope is one of those whose movie will. Hepburn - either Katherine or Audrey - are others.

If it has Princess Grace, I want to watch it.

My husband claims that he has a Bob Hope nose. Maybe its that and my husband's sense of humor - that can at times remind me of a comedy routine of Mr. Hope - that has attracted me to my husband.

I am sad at his passing. But 100 years is nothing to cry about. It was an amazing 100 years - the majority of it spent entertaining!

Bob Hope, I love you.

Bring on the Hope movies! I've got my popcorn!
