Kindergarten Christmas Party

Is today. I didn't get a call this time to participate. Oh well. I guess since they called me the last time they figured they would let other parents step up and do their thing. I did buy and take in paper plates. I got those little kid ones that have characters and the two little separated places. I got Christmas characters. Tho it looks like they had a lot of paper plates already. I had left a bunch of napkins last time. So I figure I'm covered. The next big party is Valentine's day. Great, time to look to see if I've got unused Valentines left from pre-school years gone past.

C & I spent last night bonding. It was Mommy-C time. We made a candy cane for the Christmas tree. We made a wreath for Mamaw. I noticed after cutting out his hand prints for the wreath that the middle of the construction paper looked like a Christmas Tree so we each made a Christmas tree. His has an Angel on top. Mine has a yellow star. But he made the presents under my tree. It was great fun getting online and looking up crafts and looking up coloring things (bow, Angel). BTW - parents, these things are very easy to make and fun for the kids too, not just us parents.

I wonder what crafts they will have them do for the Christmas Party today??

We went out early to get bags for his teachers (there are two of them) presents. We gave them soap & lotion. Mucho thanks to writanya & her biz. I will never use commercial soaps & lotions ever again. And as she is slowly teaching me how to make this stuff to help her out, if she ever decides to quit, I want it to at least make it for ME - even if no one else ever buys it. Dam you writanya, I'm addicted!!! (You know I love you girl!)

When we arrived with gifts & paper products, it seems that many other parents had given the teachers gifts too. I overheard one parent the other day talking about hitting the Dollar Store to get something for them.

Teachers regularly get things like coffee mugs from parents. I think the soap & lotion (and we gave them each a bath puffy) will go over very well.

I WILL adict the world to writanya's products yet - insert evil laugh here.

Well, I don't get C until later, and I'm pretty much done on shopping for now, so time to clean the house. Wheeeeee.

Already addicted.

I keep on say once I figure out how to keep my life straightened out and non-busy, I can help her more.

My life just keeps getting busier though. I need to learn how to budget time. Or just learn there never is enough time with kids.

So, when I find the way to mystically balence my life, I'll help the both of you :)

Re: Just wait
Dammit, you just reminded me about Mrs. Karen. Sigh. Can't forget to give her anything. Will have to give her what the other two teachers got.

If I KNEW where it went, don't you think I'd go back and get it!
